As a co-founder and owner of Sysrepublic, David West is the Global CEO and is responsible for Vision and Strategic Direction.
Over the past 24 years, David has worked with a wide variety of retailers, hospitality and entertainment companies including Tesco, Sainsbury’s, Asda Walmart, Marks and Spencer, Metro, Migros, Superdrug, B&Q, Safeway, Iceland Frozen Foods, Harrods, Warner Brothers, Mitchell’s and Butlers, HMV and Sears Mexico.
Between 1999 and 2002, David was a Consultant within the Award Winning Integration Services team at Marks and Spencer.
Prior to Marks and Spencer, David was a Retail Technology Consultant at Dimenica Ltd for 2 years focusing on Microsoft technologies.
David started his career in 1988 at POST Software International (PSI), the pioneers behind PC technology in retail and the ARTS data model. Over 7 years, David’s roles spanned product development, design and architecture.
Nathan Smith is a co-founder and owner of Sysrepublic and is CEO of Sysrepublic’s American business unit.
Starting his Career in Safeway in the UK, Nathan has worked for a number of high profile retailers such as Marks and Spencer and Tesco, performing roles as diverse as cashier, store manager, and enterprise software architect. This broad range of retail experience and knowledge enables Nathan to have great insight into the challenges facing retailers today.
Nathan has a degree in Information Technology for Business and over the last decade has presented at major retail events and trade shows around the globe highlighting how technology can be used more effectively to deliver value for retail businesses.
As a co-founder and owner of Sysrepublic, Philip Biggs is the CEO of Sysrepublic’s EMEA business unit and is responsible for delivering and supporting solutions for Sysrepublic’s EMEA Clients as well as acting as Group CFO.
Philip has had a wide career in both Hospitality and Retail IT. Over the last 15 years Philip has helped a number of major retailers. He worked extensively with Tesco assisting them in developing their Global Integration team and delivering the Tesco Operating Model – the pattern of the Tesco business process that has been implemented globally. He has also worked on major integration projects at Signet Jewellers, Mitchells and Butlers as well as other integration, Loss Prevention, PCI DSS and line of business solutions for Sainsbury’s, Asda Walmart, Marks and Spencer, HMV, AVIS, IKEA, Travis Perkins and many others.
Before starting Sysrepublic, Philip worked at Marks and Spencer as a key member of the Integration Services team as well as the Customer Insight Unit.
Prior to Marks and Spencer, Philip worked for a number of major Hospitality companies including Compass, Roux Brothers, Marriott Hotels and Holiday Inn. Prior to this he served in the British Army.
As a co-founder and owner of Sysrepublic, Jerry Boersma is the Chief Software Architect, responsible for the vision, design & development of our software products.
After graduating with a degree in Computer Science, Jerry has had the privilege over the last 15 years of working with major organisations including Marks & Spencer, Tesco, Sainsbury’s, Mitchells & Butlers, EMI and Signet amongst others. Delivering projects ranging from Global Integration Infrastructures to large scale business intelligence solutions, Jerry has gained a tremendous amount of field experience and a deep understanding of what companies need from software and solutions.
Jerry is passionate about building great software and has a strong belief in product innovation and setting new standards when it comes delivering software that empowers users and delivers real value to businesses.
Chris D’Amore is an owner of Sysrepublic and has directed the Global Sales teams since 2009. Chris has been actively involved in professional sales and management for over 20 years.
Prior to joining Sysrepublic, Chris owned and operated a successful third party sales and marketing consulting firm in California. He held the position of a Managing Director with State Street Bank Corporation, and managed both their Canadian and West Coast Operations.
He served as the Chief Operating Officer for Emerging Growth Management in San Francisco, a $1 Billion investment management company and has held numerous sales and management positions in his career.
