Sue Tabbitt, a respected journalist working across a range of national newspapers has written an article for The Guardian's Technology section. She investigated various areas of fraud and theft that retailers are facing at the moment.

Retail Systems "Catching the Crooks" July 2009
In Retail Systems annual Loss Prevention supplement, the article discusses how the approach to Loss Prevention is evolving. Starting from the early days of exception reporting it talks about how Sysrepublic's real time techniques empower the operational team in the field. The article also talks about another area Sysrepublic are often asked to assist with, loss from other areas of the business such as call centres and multi channel sales options.

Retail Week "A Culture Club to curb theft" June 26 2009
Joanna Perry, Retail Week's technology editor, writes a thought provoking article on the need to unite and breed an anti fraud culture across a retailers business, from the store staff to the CEO. The article gives persuasive in-sights into best practice with examples from Best Buy, Peter Just (former Marks and Spencer and Sainsbury's consultant) and Sysrepublic. Peter Just quotes an example of how working with Sysrepublic led to the discovery of a refund fraud that led to a design change to the receipt and the exchange process. It also talks about the Secure Alliance as a way of bringing information exchange across the industry.
